2016-17 Gopher Hockey Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS (GopherSports.com) - Twenty-nine regular-season Gopher Hockey games will be broadcast between the Big Ten Network, FOX Sports North and ESPN this season including the entire 20-game Big Ten Conference schedule.

Game times have also been announced for all but one regular-season game during the 2016-17 schedule.

FOX Sports North will broadcast 17 regular-season Gopher Hockey games including the regular-season home opener vs. St. Cloud State on Oct. 21, both games in the North Dakota series on Nov. 4-5 and the regular-season finale vs. Michigan State on March 11.

The Big Ten Network will add an additional 10 regular-season games for the Maroon & Gold including the team's conference opener at Mariucci Arena against Ohio State on Dec. 2 as well as the entirety of the Big Ten Tournament at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, March 16-18. ESPNews will televise a pair of games this season - March 3 at Michigan and March 10 when the Gophers host Michigan State.

Only seven regular-season games are not currently scheduled to be televised including six nonconference road games. Streaming information and any potential television broadcasts for those games will be announced at a later date.

Minnesota opens the 2016-17 season on Oct. 7 against Alaska Anchorage and plays Alaska on Oct. 9 (both games will be played at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska. The Maroon & Gold host the U.S. Under-18 Team at Mariucci Arena on Oct. 14 before the official regular-season home opener against St. Cloud State on Oct. 21.
