Marlene Stollings Minnesota Head Coach

On reducing the turnovers tonight……
"Alluding to the turnover piece. That was one area that I was extremely happy with…..We had a goal game total of 12 and we ended up with 12. Very pleased with that piece and in fact three of those came from the 5 player, which is very unusual, so very pleased with our guards and how well they took care of the ball with a team that presses very well."

On Ohio State answering back with runs….
"They were scoring too easily especially in the fourth quarter. Offensively, I'm pleased with our production. We scored 76 points. That's a good night for us this deep in the season with our skill set, so we outscore them in the first quarter and the third quarter and you look at the second and fourth quarter and in both of those we give up 26 points. That is a high volume quarter. You gotta keep that around on a high end under 18….."

On Carlie Wagner's performance….
"I thought Carlie (Wagner) and (Kenisha) Bell collectively in one area made great offensive reads. It is part of their game that we are challenging them on the most to continue to grow and I thought that both of them made the best offensive reads then they have to date in a game."

Freshman Taiye Bello

On improvements from the last couple games...
"I felt like this game I stayed in the moment a lot better than I did previously. That's something I try to work on: my mental game and getting more confident."

On staying close to Ohio State...
"I feel like we should've beat them. I feel like it was our game. We kind of beat ourselves. Coach was saying that we didn't rebound, that we didn't sit down and think."
