Van Rooyen Secures European Tour Card

In the Web.com Tour's first round of qualifying school, DuToit tied for eighth at Lantana Golf Club in Texas. He shot 67 in each of the last two rounds. Constable tied for 12th at Sun River Golf Club in St. George, Utah, carding 65s in his final two rounds. Trasamar tied for 23rd at Arbor Links in Nebraska City, Neb., with a 69 in the last round.
Gophers alumni are having a successful October. Erik Van Rooyen secured a place on the European Tour for next season, and Jon DuToit, Jon Trasamar and Donald Constable made it past the first stage of qualifying school for the Web.com Tour.
Van Rooyen won the European Challenge Tour's Hainan Open, which moved him up to fourth in the Challenge Tour's rankings. The 2013 Minnesota graduate finished at 18 under for his first Challenge Tour victory that earned him his European Tour card.
