MINNEAPOLIS - The Gopher Athletic Department and Joe Senser's have partnered to host viewing parties for both Gopher Hockey games this weekend as the Maroon & Gold travel to Grand Forks to take on long-time rival North Dakota.
Both Joe Senser's locations (Bloomington and Roseville) will hold viewing parties with Friday's series opener set for 7:30 p.m. CT and Saturday's finale set for 7:00 p.m. CT. There will be no cover charge at either location.
"We appreciate the support of Gopher Hockey fans, and we know how important it is to them to be able to watch our team when we are on the road," Minnesota head coach Don Lucia said. "This is a big weekend for our program and our fans, and I'm happy our athletic department and Joe Senser's were able to partner together to provide our passionate fans with the opportunity to watch this series."
The Big Ten owns broadcast rights to all conference games and all Gophers games at 3M Arena at Mariucci, however host institutions control broadcast rights for all nonconference road games. Midco Sports Network will broadcast both of this weekend's games as television partners of the University of North Dakota although the network does not provide coverage in the Twin Cities at this time.
All Gopher Hockey games can be heard on the radio on 1130 KTLK-AM, 103.5 FM, the Gopher Radio Network and the iHeartRadio app. This weekend's games will also be streamed on NCHC.tv.
