Coming off their fourth straight win, and fifth straight without a loss, the University of Minnesota soccer team will host Purdue to wrap up the weekend. The game will begin at 1:00 p.m. against the Boilermakers at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium.

SCOUTING THE BOILERMAKERS

The Purdue Boilermakers enter Sunday's contest with a 9-3-1 record, but are coming off a loss in Madison 2-1 on Friday. The Boilermakers have scored 29 goals this season, and have surrendered just 12. Leading the offense is redshirt senior, Maddy Williams. Williams is second in the Big Ten with nine goals this season, and is second in assists with eight. In the net for Purdue is Katie Luce who has started all 13 games this season. She has allowed 12 goals this season, putting her goals against average at 0.92. She has made 37 saves this season, and has been a part of six shutouts.

LAST TIME OUT ââ'¬" INDIANA

The Gophers took down the Hoosiers of Indiana 3-2 at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. The rain was coming down hard as the Gophers and Hoosiers took the field. Indiana took advantage and scored just 11 minutes into the contest. Minnesota responded in the best way they could, with goals. Sydney Squires scored a pair of goals in just two minutes and 11 seconds to give the Gophers the lead just 14 minutes into the game. Julianna Gernes put the icing on the cake in the second half with an impressive finish just six minutes into the second half, which ended up being the game-winning goal.

"It wasn't the perfect game by any means," associate head coach Krystle Seidel said. "We are never excited about conceding two goals, but the fact that we were able to respond from a goal down and be able to respond and come out on top is important for this group."

LEADING THE NATION

April Bockin added an assist yesterday to put her at 10 for the season, which is leading the entire NCAA. Bockin's 10 assists puts her at a tie for sixth most in a single season at Minnesota. Bockin has also registered an assist in five straight games, which ties a program-record with Molly Rouse (2008) and Erin Hussey (1993-94).

DOUBLING DOWN

Julianna Gernes has doubled her career assists mark over the past two games. With just three assists in her first three and a half years, she put up two against Maryland and then one against Indiana to put her career total up to six.

CONSISTENTLY FINISHING

So far this season, senior forward Sydney Squires has put up 37 shots. 20 of those shots have been on goal, putting her percentage at a team-high 54.1 percent. Fellow seniors Julianna Gernes and Kellie McGahn who are at 50 percent, follow behind Squires.

DON'T EVEN GIVE THEM A CHANCE

So far this season, the Gophers have allowed just 107 shots and just 32 on goal, which are both a Big Ten low.
