MINNEAPOLIS - The Golden Gopher women's hockey team will hold its annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, Dec. 2, when the team hosts Bemidji State at Ridder Arena. Puck drop is set for 4:07 p.m. CT.

Fans are invited to bring new stuffed animals to donate to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital by throwing the stuffed animals on the ice when the first Gopher goal is scored. Fans who bring a stuffed animal to donate will receive free admission to Saturday's game.

In the event that the team does not score a goal, fans will be instructed to throw the stuffed animals on the ice after the game or donate them in bins on the way out of the rink. All of the stuffed animals collected will be donated to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital prior to the holidays.

Minnesota and Bemidji State face off at 6:07 p.m. CT Friday, Dec. 1 in game one of the series before the Saturday, Dec. 2 game. The Gophers swept the Beavers in Bemidji, Minn., in early October.
