COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Hunter Lucas led the Fall Finale field on Friday as the University of Minnesota men's cross country team claimed its 11th-straight individual champion at the eight-kilometer competition.
An unattached freshman this year for the Gophers, Lucas clocked a 25:53 to win the men's eight-kilometer race on Friday evening at the Collegeville Trails - edging fellow unattached Minnesota freshman Patrick Roos for the title. Roos also clocked a 25:53 to finish as the runner-up.
Redshirt freshman Jack Manderscheid finished fourth at 26:07 while unattached freshman Jordan MacIntosh came in fifth at 26:39.
