GOPHERS ON THE ROAD THIS WEEKEND
The University of Minnesota volleyball program is on the road this weekend, traveling to Purdue (West Lafayette, Ind.) and Indiana (Bloomington, Ind.) this weekend. Friday's match against the Boilermakers is set for 4:30 p.m. CT, followed by a 6 p.m. tilt Saturday against the Hoosiers.

ON THE DOCKET
Minnesota remains on the road next weekend when it travels to Northwestern and Illinois, Nov. 17-18, both at 7 p.m. It's marks the final road trip of the regular season.
REMAINING SCHEDULE
Minnesota has six matches remaining of the regular season, two at home and four on the road. In that stretch, Minnesota will face three teams for the first time this season in Indiana, Northwestern and Penn State.
SAMEDY GAINS B1G HONORS
For the second time this season, freshman opposite hitter Stephanie Samedy has been named the Big Ten Player and Freshman of the Week, announced Monday by the league office. It marks her third weekly award this season and Minnesota's 15th weekly award this year. Stephanie Samedy averaged 5.2 kills per set and hit .418 over the weekend in a pair of sweeps over Maryland and Ohio State. She also had 20 digs, three blocks and an ace. In the win over the Terrapins, Samedy led all attackers with a match-high 18 kills and hit .471 in 34 attempts. The six-rotation student-athlete also had nine digs and two blocks. In the sweep over Ohio State, she provided a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs, her 13th double-double of the year. In 33 attempts, she hit .364 in the win, while adding an ace and block.
ABOUT PURDUE
Purdue enters the weekend with an 18-7 overall and 8-6 Big Ten record. Last week the Boilermakers won in five over Iowa and lost 3-1 to Nebraska. The team is second in the Big Ten and third in the NCAA with a 31.9 hitting percentage. In the Big Ten they are also fifth in kills (14.16 per set) and seventh in assists (13.16 per set) and aces (1.26 per set). Danielle Cuttino ranks second in the Big Ten in kills (4.09 per set) and 10th in hitting percentage (.348), as she has a team leading 352 kills. Sherridan Atkinson follows Cuttino in kills with 291, is hitting .348 and ranks 10th in kills per set (3.38). Ashley Evans' 984 assists places her at third in the conference in the category and Brooke Peters is 10th in digs, with a team leading 316. The Boilermakers average 12.79 digs per set and 2.26 blocks per set.
ABOUT INDIANA
Indiana is 12-14 overall and 1-13 in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers are fourth in the conference in aces (1.40 per set) and ninth in digs (12.95 per set). As a team, they average 1.73 blocks per set and 13.10 kills per set. Kendall Beerman is 14th kills in the Big Ten with a team best 231 (3.21 per set) and is hitting .206. Deyshia Lofton is 14th in hitting percentage, at .328 with 210 kills and is 10th in blocks, averaging 1.02 per set. Victoria Brisack has 1,006 assists (10.82 per set), which puts her at seventh in the Big Ten and Meaghan Koors leads the team with 235 digs, averaging 2.73 per set.
ALL-TIME RECORD AND LAST TIME
Minnesota is 52-30 all time against Purdue, with the first back to 1975. The last time the Gophers lost to Purdue was in West Lafayette, Ind., during the 2015 season, which snapped a 15-match win streak. Minnesota defeated Purdue earlier this year, Oct. 11, in three sets when the Boilermakers came to Maturi Pavilion.
The Golden Gophers are 54-16 all time against the Indiana Hoosiers, dating back to 1975. This weekend's meeting marks the first and only meeting of the year for these two teams. Last year, Minnesota played the Hoosiers twice, and won 3-0 in both matches.
CAREER RECORD MARKS
Samantha Seliger-Swenson reached the 4,000 career assist mark last Saturday against Ohio State. She is the only junior in Division I to currently have over 4,000 career assists. In the same match, Molly Lohman reached the 500 block mark, which now ranks eighth among the NCAA's active leaders. For her career, Lohman averages 1.31 blocks per set. Dalianliz Rosado has over 1,700 career digs, which ranks 20th among active NCAA leaders.
GOPHERS SECOND IN NCAA RPI
Minnesota is No. 2 in the latest NCAA RPI. In the top 25 spots, Minnesota has nine opponents listed: Penn State (1), Nebraska (5), Texas (6), Wisconsin (10), Michigan State (15), Louisville (22), Illinois (23) and Purdue (25).
