Women's Gym Signs Three to Class of 2022

The University of Minnesota women's gymnastics program has signed three student-athletes to the class of 2022, head coach Jenny Hansen announced Thursday.
"We are very excited about the addition of Tiarre, Kaitlyn and Abbie to the Golden Gopher Family," Hansen said. "All three are strong all-around competitors and we expect them to make an immediate impact next season. In addition, they are excellent students committed to the goals, vision and values of the program. Each has enjoyed great success at the Junior Olympic level and have tremendous potential to continue their development here at Minnesota."
Tiarre Sales - Gymcats - Coronado High School

Sales is a native of Henderson, Nev. She competes for Gymcats and attends Coronado High School. She took third in the all-around at the 2016 state championships. She took third at the 2015 nationals and fourth at the 2016 nationals. She has scored a 9.700 on both vault and beam and has a top career score of 38.275 in all-around.
Kaitlyn Higgins - Gymnastics Academy of Rockford - Bigfoot High School

Higgins is a native of Walworth, Wis. She competes for the Gymnastics Academy of Rockford and attends Bigfoot High School. She was a level 9 Eastern National gymnastics all-around champion in 2013 and a Junior Olympic qualifier in both 2016 and 2017. She took eighth place in the all-around in 2016 scoring a 37.875.
Abbie Nylin - Twin City Twisters - Rogers High School

Nylin is a native of Rogers, Minn. She competes for the Twin City Twisters and attends Rogers High School. She is an eight-time Junior Olympic state championship qualifier, six-time JO regional qualifier and a four-time JO national qualifier. She has won seven state titles combined and eight regional titles. She took second place in the 2015 nationals with an all-around score of 38.200 and was a 2016 Northern Lights Class all-around champion.
