Gophers Prospect Khalid Hussein Earns All-America Nod

PORTLAND, Ore. – Signed Gophers prospect Khalid Hussein finished 10th overall to earn All-America honors at the 2017 Nike Cross Nationals on Saturday morning at Glendoveer Golf Course, coming across the finish line at 15:28.5. Husssein helped Wayzata High School to an 11th-place finish at the prestigious meet. 

A native of Plymouth, Minn., Hussein signed his National Letter of Intent with the Gophers last month after winning the 2017 MSHSL Class AA Cross Country Championship. He is also a three-time state medalist in the 1,600 meters and the 3,200 meters.
