Minnesota Head Coach Richard Pitino

Opening Statement...
"Obviously a terrific win. I'm exhausted. Five overtime games in conference, that's got to be a record. At the end of the day we made winning plays. Made winning free throws. We found a way to do that and also get some rebounds when we needed to. Obviously did a good job at getting to the foul line. It was nice to see McBrayer get out of his mini slump. So, we beat a really good team. Terrific crowd, and five in a row is something to be proud of, so we'll celebrate tonight and get back to work tomorrow."
On second chance points...
"We've been harping on it a lot. I thought we set the tone early, and Murphy and Reggie were having their way down there and really rebounding the ball. It has become a little bit of our identity, and we're doing a good job there. The rebounds really got us going at the beginning of the game when our offense was not doing as well."
On Curry making plays at the right time...
"He was terrific. He made some mid-range shots, and some winning plays. He's only a Freshman so there is a lot to be excited about with him. He's a tough kid who is performing in clutch moments."
On the resilience of the team...
"The overtime games need to stop because they're driving me crazy, but at the end of the day, having overtime games early has taught these guys a lot and we have found ways to tighten up things and make big free throws. They are a mentally tough group. They do not get too high or too low, and a lot of that has to do with Nate Mason because he is pretty level headed. To lose five games in a row and then to come back and win five in a row says a lot about the guys. They really only care about winning."

Michigan Head Coach John Beilein

Opening Statement...

"Great basketball game and congratulate Minnesota. They really got a good team. They have a lot of pieces that you need, with a great point guard, big men, and great shooters on the perimeter. Their bench is good. #24 (Eric Curry) came in for them and really played well as did Dupree (McBrayer). That is huge to have those type of guys coming off the bench, so really good team you have here in Minnesota and wish we could have got the win. Very uncharacteristic for us to go 9 for 18 from the free-throw line. We will grow from it. We are on an unfriendly schedule with a game Wednesday in Rutgers, so we have to get our rest and get home."

On getting outrebounded…

"We are going to get outrebounded a lot and Minnesota is really good at that. They got a couple of really strong guys that are excellent on the backboards and that is not the difference of the game. There was a 9 for 18 in the foul line and we had some tough breaks."

On Wilson's game tying shot...

"It was residual. It was something for Duncan (Robinson) or Derrick (Walton Jr.) in each corner and if they weren't open, then DJ (Wilson) and Moritz (Wagner) to take it. I wish I can take credit for it, but no credit. It was Duncan not shooting a bad three because we did have 8 seconds. We had time to get a good shot off."

On the offense in the second half...

"I thought we had some really good looks in the first half. We didn't drop them. They extended us a little bit, but it didn't seem to flow as well. I have to watch the video a little bit more, but we just couldn't get enough stops. We couldn't stop their free throws. It's a physical game and it's got to be physical both way."

Sophomore Dupree McBrayer

On the fifth overtime of the season...

"We just have to stay composed, knowing that in OT you've gotta make winning plays."
On getting back his groove...

"Definitely got me going. I was being more aggressive, try to get to the basket, trying to get to the free throw line. It was starting to come more and more so I got confident more and more."
Sophomore Jordan Murphy

On the fifth overtime of the season...

"Usually, we have to stay composed and confident. We've been here before and we've had success in overtime. We have to stay confident and just know that we have to rough it up and ride it out."
On the resiliency of the team...

"We're a really resilient group. A really confident group, as well. We know that we've been here before. We've made mistakes and we've had success, so we know that we can learn from our mistakes and can keep doing what makes us successful. I have a lot of confidence in our guys. You saw Dupree today. Eric [Curry] was terrific today. We have a lot of guys ready to go."
