Peronnin Highlights Gophers Finish in Miami

March 1, 2017 CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Senior Emie Peronnin led the way with her best tournament finish of the season, as the Hurricane Invitational drew to a close Wednesday at the Biltmore Golf Club.
Peronnin tied for 13th after a one-under-par 71 on the final day, ending the tournament at three-over-par 219 (74-74-71).
Junior Heather Ciskowski tied for 33rd at seven-over-par (75-73-75-223), with classmate Sabrine Garrison one shot behind in a tie for 39th (72-77-75-224).
Sophomore Muyu Wu tied for 73rd place (75-82-78-235) while classmate Niamh Ward finished the tournament in 85th place (84-82-81-247).
As a team, the Gophers tied for 11th place with South Florida, posting a team score of 37-over-par (296-306-299-901). Northwestern earned the team title with a score of five-under 859, with the Wildcats' Hannah Kim earning medalist honors at six-under-par.
Minnesota will return to action in just over two weeks, traveling to Mesa, Ariz., for the Clover Cup on March 17-19.
