Karstadt Named B1G Gymnast of the Week

University of Minnesota sophomore Justin Karstadt has been named the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week, announced today by the conference. This is the first honor for Karstadt.

In Minnesota's wins over Iowa and the Arizona State club team, Karstadt earned gold in both the all-around competition and on pommel horse. By event, he scored 13.150 on floor, 14.350 on pommel horse, 14.200 on rings, 14.250 on vault, 12.900 on parallel bars and 13.700 on high bar for an all-around total of 82.550. Karstadt has now won the all-around title in the past two meets.

Minnesota will host the UIC Flames at the Sports Pavilion on Saturday, March 18 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are available at mygophersports.com.
