Garrison Finishes Top-20 as Clover Cup Concludes

MESA, Ariz. - The Minnesota women's golf team matched their second-round team score on Sunday, as they went on to finish eighth at the Clover Cup, hosted by Notre Dame at Longbow Golf Club.
Minnesota (300-294-294-888) ended the three-day tournament at 24-over par, one shot behind the host Fighting Irish.
Leading the way was junior Sabrine Garrison, earning her highest finish of the year as she tied for 16th place. Garrison carded a two-under-par 70 to finish the tournament at three-over-par 219 (75-74-70). One shot behind was classmate Heather Ciskowski, who tied for 21st at four-over (73-73-74-220).
Trailing her by two shots and finishing tied for 31st was senior Emie Peronnin, whose six-over-par finish earned her a tie for 31st (74-74-74-222). Sophomores Muyu Wu (81-73-77-231) and Maggie Heggerston (78-78-76-232) tied for 59th and 61st, respectively.
Oklahoma's Julienne Soo earned medalist honors with a score of 13-under-par 203, while Arizona State claimed the team title at 26-under-par 838.
Minnesota will be idle for the next four weeks, before closing out the regular season at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational in Columbus on April 15-16.
