Gophers in the Polls: March 29

March 29, 2017 Minneapolis, Minn. - Men's hockey and men's swimming and diving receive their final rankings while softball continues to climb in this week's polls. Tickets for all upcoming home events are available by visiting mygophersports.com.
Men's Hockey - #5
Last Week: The Gopher Hockey program came up on the short end of a back-and-forth battle on Saturday night, falling by a 3-2 margin to Notre Dame at SNHU Arena. The loss eliminates Minnesota from the NCAA tournament.
Men's Gymnastics - #5
Last Week: The University of Minnesota wrapped its regular season with a statement win at Nebraska on Saturday, with a final score of 426.950-425.550. The Golden Gophers tallied the third-highest team score in the nation, and the top mark in the Big Ten Conference this season.
Coming Up: Minnesota will have a week off before traveling to Champaign, Ill. for the 2017 Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championships. The meet will run from April 7-8.
Softball - #6
Last Week: The University of Minnesota Gophers completed the weekend sweep over the Nebraska Cornhuskers with an 8-1 victory this afternoon. The Gophers are now 28-2 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in Big Ten play.
This Week: The Gophers move into the second weekend of B1G play next traveling to Illinois for a weekend series.
Men's Track and Field - #19
This Week: The Gophers will compete at the Bruin Legends of Track & Field Invitational at UCLA March 31 - April 1.
Men's Swimming and Diving - #20
Last Week: Minnesota men's swimming and diving earned three more All-America honors and broke a 12-year-old program relay record on the final day of the NCAA Championships. The Golden Gophers placed 23rd with 43 points in Indianapolis.
