Abernathy Earns Third B1G Nod

University of Minnesota senior Bailey Abernathy has been named the Big Ten Co-Event Specialist of the Week along with Michigan's Emma McLean. This is Abernathy's third honor this season.

In the Gophers' win on senior night, Abernathy earned gold on both vault and floor. Abernathy finished the meet with a stunning 9.950, which was a personal record and the highest individual score of the season for the team on any event. She scored a 9.875 on vault.

This is Abernathy's third Event Specialist honor this season. She previously earned it after her performances against Denver and Ohio State.

Minnesota will head to Iowa City for the Big Ten Championships Qualifier this Saturday, March 11.
