April 19, 2017 Minneapolis, Minn. - Men's Gymnastics looks to finish their season strong and softball continues their hot streak in Big Ten play in this week's Gophers in the Polls. Tickets for all upcoming home events are available by visiting mygophersports.com.
Softball - #5
Last Week: The University of Minnesota Gophers cruised to an 8-0 run-rule victory over the Northwestern Wildcats to complete the weekend sweep Sunday afternoon.
This Week: They travel to Wisconsin for a midweek doubleheader Wednesday with first pitch set for 3 p.m. Both of those games can be viewed on the Big Ten Network.
Men's Gymnastics - #5
This Week: No. 5 Minnesota has officially advanced to the 2017 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships for the 16th-straight year, announced Tuesday by the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Committee.
The championship meet will take place April 21-22 at Christl Arena in West Point, N.Y. and will feature the nation's top-12 teams along with individual and all-around competitors from non-qualifying programs.
Receiving votes: Baseball is receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches' Poll and the NCBWA Rankings.
