COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior Emie Peronnin wrapped up her Gophers career by continuing up the leaderboard, as she finished tied for 56th at the NCAA Columbus Regional Wednesday, hosted by the Ohio State University Golf Club Scarlet Course.
Peronnin (83-76-75-234) ended the tournament among a three-way tie for 56th place at 18-over-par. The FrĆĀ©jus, France native climbed another 10 spots after starting the day tied for 66th, and saw her second straight day of reduction in score.
"There's definitely some more positives than the first round," Peronnin said. "I definitely could have done better overall but I had a lot of fun on the course the past few days. I really enjoyed being able to play in the regionals one last time before I left - definitely two of my favorite tournaments. It was a nice way to conclude my college career."
"It was a great week and a good experience," said head coach Michele Redman. "I'm glad Emie was able to experience that her senior year and it was nice to see her improve each day at the tournament."
Florida's Kelly Grassel and South Carolina's Ana Pelaez shared medalist honors with a final score of even-par 216.
