Justin Doeden is tied for 27th through 36 holes of the NCAA Stanford Regional. He shot a 2-over 72 in the second round on Tuesday at Stanford Golf Course.
Doeden began the day 1 under par after yesterday's round of 69. Starting on the 10th hole, he played his first nine holes 4 over par.
After pars on 1 and 2 and a bogey on 3, Doeden started recovering lost shots. He made his first birdie of the day on the fourth, and later birdied both 7 and 8.
There is one round left, and the top individual not on one of the five advancing teams will earn a spot at the NCAA Championships. Baylor is in the lead as a team at 18 under. California's Collin Morikawa is the top individual not on one of the top five teams currently. He is 4 under.
The final round will begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. CT. Doeden will tee off at 12:23.
