Gophers Win 13 Titles at Concordia

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota women's track & field team took home 13 titles while competing at the BearCat Twilight, previously known as the Tommie Twilight, hosted by the University of St. Thomas at Concordia St. Paul on Wednesday night.
The Gophers' attached competitors collected six first-place finishes while unattached athletes won another seven events at Seafoam Stadium.
Sophia Anderson won the 200m (25.15) and the 400m (56.26) with a pair of season-best times to lead the Gophers with two event titles. Sarah Klecker picked up her second 5,000-meter title of the season in 17:32.49 as well.
Cami Gilson won the pole vault with a career-best mark of 4.04m (13-03.00) to improve on her mark as the seventh-ranked pole vaulter in Gophers' history. Kiley Sabin won the shot put at 15.22m (49-11.25), and Allie Heifort won the hammer throw with a career-best toss of 52.15m (171-01).
Minnesota also took the top two spots in the 4x400-meter relay.
Unattached runners Titania Markland (800m, season-best 2:09.82), Megan Hasz (1,500m, 4:34.14), Meleah Biermaier (400m hurdles, 1:02.31), and Lindsey Greenlund (3,000m steeplechase, 11:02.42) won individual titles on the track as well.
In the field events, unattached Gophers Ashley Ramacher (high jump, 1.72m, 5-07.75) and Hannah Arason (javelin, 41.70m, 136-10) won their respective events as well.
