Minneapolis, Minn. – The Big Ten Conference has determined that the three-game series between the University of Minnesota and Rutgers will be rescheduled to May 16 as a doubleheader.

Originally, the two teams were supposed to play April 7-9 but inclement weather on the east coast cancelled all flights resulting in Rutgers being unable to fly out.

The series will be moved to a two-game series that will be played as a doubleheader at Siebert Field with the first game of the day beginning at 2 p.m. central time. The second game will begin 30-45 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.

The first game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network live while the second game will be broadcast later at 8 p.m. on tape delay.

The Gophers will play eight games in nine days to finish off the season with the rescheduled games falling in between three-game series versus Long Beach State and Purdue.
