Three members of the Minnesota women's golf team earned a pair of scholastic awards on Wednesday, with senior Emie Peronnin, junior Sabrine Garrison and sophomore Muyu Wu being named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.

Additionally, the trio was recognized by the Big Ten Conference as Distinguished Scholars.

For the WGCA award, the criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. Peronnin, Garrison and Wu, all of whom are repeat winners, were among 952 honorees at every level of college golf.

The three were also among 83 Golden Gopher student-athletes recognized with the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award. Student-athletes must have recorded a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.7 or higher for the previous academic year in order to be eligible for the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award.
