Former Gopher Donald Constable won the Dakotas Tour's Pro-Am Jam over the weekend. The 2011 PING All-Region honoree won by five strokes at 21 under par, a week after fellow Minnesota alumnus Jon Trasamar captured the Hillcrest Invitational Pro-Am.
Constable carded a bogey-free, 8-under 64 in the opening round at the Country Club of Sioux Falls to position himself near the top of the leaderboard. He followed up with an even lower bogey-free round of 63. Constable shot a 68 and maintained a cushioned lead to win on Sunday.
Pine to Palm
Many current and past Gophers were in action at the 85th Pine to Palm, which ended Sunday at Detroit Lakes Country Club. With a 36-hole score of 139, Grady Meyer earned the sixth seed for match play. He advanced to the championship bracket semifinals.
Matt Rachey and Thomas Longbella made it to the top 16. Charlie Duensing made it to the consolation championship, and Gus Minkin to the consolation semifinals.
