Former Gophers picked up a few more summer tournament wins in recent weeks.

Mike Fiedler and Johnny Larson, who played for the Gophers in the early 2000s, won the 56th MGA Four-Ball Championship at Eagle Creek Golf Club last week. The pair finished at 16 under par with rounds of 63 and 65.

2017 Minnesota graduates William Leaf and Grady Meyer squared off at Bobcat North Dakota Open. Leaf beat Meyer in a three-hole playoff for the amateur title at Fargo Country Club. Each was 5 under through 54 holes. Incoming Gopher Ben Frazzini and redshirt freshman Gus Minkin tied for fifth on the amateur leaderboard at 2 over.
Gopher Invitational (Sept. 10-11)
The 13th annual tournament is quickly approaching. Volunteer spots are still open. Volunteers will receive a free shirt, hat and lunch. The tournament is free to attend for all spectators. The Gopher Invitational field was rated 17th among all collegiate tournaments last season, and again brings a strong field, including national champion Oklahoma, in 2017.
