Gopher Invite Play Suspended

The Golden Gophers started moving up the leaderboard in Round 2 of the 13th annual Gopher Invitational. Play was suspended at 7:30 p.m. due to darkness at Windsong Farm Golf Club. Play will resume at 8:30 a.m. Monday, and the same groups will continue into the third and final round.
Minnesota is tied for eighth according to scores that have been entered into Golfstat. The Gophers carded a 20-over team score of 304 in the first round but is having the best second round of the field at 4 under so far.
Thomas Longbella is tied for 18th. He shot a 7-over 78 but is shooting a 4-under second round with two holes to play, with five birdies.
Gophers freshman Angus Flanagan is tied for 26th along with senior Riley Johnson. They are 4 over. Rúnar Arnorsson is tied for 48th, and Peter Jones rounds out the lineup in a tie for 70th.
Seven Gophers are playing as individuals. Gus Minkin and Ben Frazzini, in their debuts, are tied for 26th. Charlie Duensing, Alex Uloth, Campbell Fisher, Evan Long and Reece Sanders are also competing as individuals.
Baylor's Garrett May and Michigan State's Zach Rosendale lead the Gopher Individual at Pioneer Creek. They are 6 under par on the par-71 course. The Gopher Individual final round will tee off at 7:20 a.m. Monday.
