Tickets on Sale Now for Saturday's Game

When Gopher fans show up at TCF Bank Stadium this Saturday, Sep. 30, to support the Gopher Football team as it opens this season's Big Ten schedule, those same fans can show their support for Minnesota families in need of food for the upcoming holiday season.

"Heart for Hunger," powered by the Thrivent Member Network, is a food drive through which Thrivent Financial hopes to deliver 60,000 meals to families in need this Thanksgiving. Gopher fans coming to campus this Saturday can help make that possible.

Prior to Saturday's game, there will be food and money collection to support the food drive at each of the five primary gates of TCF Bank Stadium. Fans can also donate items at the Gopher Garden, the pre-game fan festival located outside 3M Arena at Mariucci along Oak Street.

"Heart for Hunger" accepts all non-perishable food items but Thrivent is specifically looking for Thanksgiving items that can be distributed around the holiday (i.e., canned vegetables, boxed stuffing and/or potatoes, cake/brownie mix). While there are preferred items, all non-perishable food items and cash donations are still appreciated and can make a significant different for hungry Minnesotans.

Saturday's football game against Maryland will kick off at 11 a.m. Central from TCF Bank Stadium.
