Gophers Place 15th at Coeur d'Alene

The Minnesota women's golf team carded its best team round of the week Wednesday, concluding play at the inaugural Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational.
Minnesota finished tied for 15th at 39-over-par (298-301-292-891).
Junior Muyu Wu led the Gophers, tying for 36th at 7-over-par (76-72-72-220). Freshman Kate Lillie was four strokes behind, tying for 54th at 11-over-par (73-77-74-224). Classmate Grace Kellar tied Wu for the Gophers low round Wednesday, as she tied for 64th (77-77-72-226).
Gopher senior Sabrine Garrison (72-75-80-227) tied for 68th, while freshman Joanne Free placed 85th (83-80-74-237).
Colorado won the team title at 18-under-par, with two Buffaloes players taking the top two spots individually in Kirsty Hodgkins and Robyn Choi were 10-under and 6-under, respectively.
Minnesota is back in action this Sunday, hosting the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M at Olympic Hills Golf Club in Eden Prairie. The three-day tournament, which is free and open to the public, will feature 18 holes each day with a 12-team field that includes many of the top teams in college golf.
