Gophers Put Six in Top-10 of TC5K

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (GopherSports.com) - The University of Minnesota men's cross country program was officially off this weekend although a number of current team members and program alums were in action Saturday morning at the TC5K.

Gophers alum Aaron Bartnik, an All-Big Ten competitor in cross country, finished second overall in the five-kilometer race with a time of 15:03. Hunter Lucas came in third six seconds later at 15:09 while Patrick Roos finished fifth with a time of 15:22.

Jordan MacIntosh placed seventh at 15:46 while redshirt freshman Jack Manderscheid came in eighth with a time of 15:49. Joe Morrison finished 10th at 16:26 as the Gophers featured six current or former competitors in the top-10.

Lucas, Roos, MacIntosh and Morrison are all true freshman for the Gophers this year and are competing unattached.
