Shane Wiskus was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday.
The Spring Park, Minn. native won his second all-around title of the season posting an 82.550 for a new career high in the Gophers home opener. He led Minnesota to a 405.900-395.45 victory over Iowa.
Wiskus took five podium finishes including a first place on p-bars (13.950) and second places finishes on both high bar (13.850) and still rings (13.800).
Currently, Wiskus is ranked second in the NCAA in all-around. He is ninth on p-bars, 12th on floor, 17th on rings and 20th on high bar.
Wiskus and the Gophers head to Air Force this coming Saturday for a 1 p.m. meet.
