Robson Named Big Ten Third Star

MINNEAPOLIS (GopherSports.com) - Sophomore goaltender Mat Robson has been named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week after picking up his first collegiate win on Saturday, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
A native of Mississauga, Ont., Robson stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced on Saturday as the Maroon & Gold topped Army West Point to lock up a nonconference sweep over the Black Knights.
Robson (1-1-0) has allowed just three goals on 50 shots in just under 120 minutes of play for a GAA of 1.51 and a .940 save percentage.
The Gophers return to action this weekend with a home-and-home series against St. Cloud State. Saturday's series opener is set for 6:30 p.m. CT in St. Cloud (CBS Sports) while Saturday's finale is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT at 3M Arena at Mariucci (FOX Sports North, TSN2)
