Join the Gopher women's hockey team as Minnesota returns to action after nearly four weeks away from competition when the Minnesota Whitecaps visit Ridder Arena for a free exhibition game on Friday night. Buy one ticket and get one free for next Tuesday's game against St. Cloud State.
Men's Track & Field hosts Minnesota Open
Saturday, 1 p.m., Minnesota Fieldhouse
The University of Minnesota men's track & field program opens the home indoor season on Saturday, Jan. 6 with the Minnesota Open, held at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse. Both running events and field events kick off at 1 p.m. CT.

Women's Gymnastics hosts Intrasquad Meet

Fans can get their first look at the Gophers when the team hosts its annual Intrasquad Meet on Saturday evening. Admission is free. Be sure to stay after the meet for post-meet autographs with the entire team. Fans can also register to participate in the 2018 Gopher Gymnastics Jr. Gopher Day.

The Gophers are hosting a Pre-Match Youth Clinic on Sunday. The team is also holding Community Night for Rylee Streifel (Prior Lake), Bobby Steveson (Apple Valley), Gannon Volk (Lakeville), Owen Webster (Shakopee).

Fans can purchase Cub Family 4-Pack ticket packages for Sunday's game between the Gophers and Spartans at Williams Arena. It is also University of Minnesota campus Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day. As part of Twin Cities Community Night, $6 tickets are available to all Twin Cities residents.

The Gopher men's hockey team kicks off 2018 with a return to action against a nationally ranked opponent as No. 10 Minnesota takes on No. 1/2 St. Cloud State in a home-and-home series. The teams open the series on Saturday in St. Cloud, Minn., before Sunday's finale at 3M Arena at Mariucci at 6 p.m. CT (FOX Sports North, TSN2, BTN2Go, FOX Sports Go, TSNGo).
