Minnesota Head Coach Richard Pitino

Opening Statement…
"Lot of credit to Indiana, they made plays at the end and we did not. I thought we were getting stops but not the defensive rebounds. I was proud of the effort, but the execution was not great at the end. Give them credit they fought real hard.

On Jordan Murphy's double-double…
"He battled and I am proud of him to tie that record. Forget about today's game, it is disappointed for him that we didn't win. Take a step back, 17 double-doubles in a row to tie a record and he may not be happy with it right now but I am really proud of him.

On player's reaction in the locker room after the game…
"Dissapointed. I thought they really battled and were disappointed. We'll look back and be proud of their effort, but you have to execute. That's what this league is and we won a lot of close games last year because of little things. We will get there I believe it. These are a great group of guys and they will get their chemistry on the court for sure."

Indiana Head Coach Archie Miller

Opening Statement…
"It was a gutty win by our guys on the road. It I very difficult in this league to find a way to do that. Couple guys really stepped up and had opportunity to give it to them with the absence of a couple players today. Was really proud of Justin Smith who stepped up and played for us today on both ends. By far the best game of his career."

On road win…
Every team is a little bit different, but it shows you how together you are and how tough you are. We weathered first half foul troubles, stayed out of foul troubles in the second half and the kids played hard.

Junior Guard Dupree McBrayer

On last 36 hours and response from team…
"We just are focused on the guys in the locker room. Playing with the guys we have."

On if he thinks offense will focus on him, Nate Mason and Jordan Murphy…
"This is just a case when other guys just have to step up. I think everyone is going to do that. We will get better with more practice together."

Sophomore Forward Michael Hurt

On last 36 hours and response from team…
"I think we need to focus on one game at a time. Obviously we came up short today, so we just have to move on and look forward to Northwestern."

On the locker room after the game…
"I think we knew obviously didn't make enough plays down the stretch. We didn't rebound well, I think we gave up 16 offensive rebounds. So I think it was cumulative and even the loose balls we didn't get were huge."

On how he played tonight…
"I don't think we played very well. We lost a lot of scoring without Reggie and Amir so I think all of the guys off the bench have to step up and produce."
