Tyler Johnson needs four catches to become the 15th Gopher to reach 100 career catches

Tyler Johnson has 96 career catches (16th in school history) for 1,523 yards (13th in school history) and 14 touchdowns (tied for ninth all-time) in 30 career games. He is four catches shy of becoming the 15th player in school history to notch 100 career catches.

Through seven games, Johnson has 47 catches (sixth in the Big Ten) for 705 yards (13th in NCAA, second in the Big Ten) and seven touchdowns. He has eight career 100-yard games and five this year. The last Gopher to have five 100-yard games in a season was Aaron Hosack (2003) and the last to have six (school record) was Ryan Thelwell (1996).

In 17 games with receiver coach Matt Simon, Tyler Johnson has caught 82 passes for 1,382 yards and 13 touchdowns. Those numbers alone would rank him 19th in career receptions, 14th in career yards and tied for 11th in touchdowns. The 16.85 average yards per catch would rank sixth.
