Seven Earn Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Seven Minnesota softball players were recognized as 2017-18 Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Wednesday afternoon.

The team was also recognized as an Easton/NFCA Academic Team with a 3.42 GPA which ranked third among Big Ten teams and 55th among NCAA Division I schools.

Hannah Bailey, Ellie Cowger, Katelyn Kemmetmueller, Kaylen Krueger, Kendyl Lindaman, Rachel Lowary and Alexandra Thompson were all individually recognized by the NFCA for their performances in the classroom where the posted a GPA of 3.5 or higher. 

Minnesota raps of their fall campaign at Jane Sage Coles Stadium Friday, Oct. 5 as they take on Concordia St. Paul in doubleheader fashion beginning at 5 p.m. Admission is free.
