Gophers alum Hannah Brandt joined the Wild in celebrating Girls Hockey Weekend.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Earlier this month, the Minnesota Wild celebrated its third annual Girls Hockey Weekend, including a guest appearance at practice by Gopher women's hockey great, U.S. Olympic gold medalist, and Minnesota Whitecaps forward Hannah Brandt.

To kick off Girls Hockey Weekend (Dec. 14-15), Brandt joined the Wild for practice at TRIA Rink. Girls Hockey Weekend also included fellow Gophers alum, Olympic gold medalist, and Whitecaps defense Lee Stecklein participating in "Our Ice" before the Wild's game against the Calgary Flames, and former Gopher women's hockey coach Laura Halldorson made the "Let's Play Hockey!" call as well.

Catch up on the coverage of Brandt's appearance with the Wild and all of Girls' Hockey Weekend.
