Senior forward April Bockin was named to the 2018 Google Cloud Second Team All-America as selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA). The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America Women's Soccer Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Already this year, Bockin has been selected as a member of the First Team All-Big Ten Conference, the NCAA Division I Women's First Team All-North Region, the NCAA Division I Women's Third Team All-America and the Google Cloud Academic First Team All-District. The Kinesiology major and 14 of her Gophers teammates were also acknowledged as Academic All-Big Ten honorees yesterday.

Bockin's recognition today marks the first time a Gopher has been selected as a Google Cloud Academic All-American. She touts a 3.80 GPA after six semesters in the classroom in addition to her 13 goals, seven assists and five game-winners this season, which were crucial components to Minnesota's 2018 postseason run.
