After winning his third all-around title of the season, Shane Wiskus has been named both the Big Ten Co-Gymnast of the Week and the Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

This is the first B1G Gymnast of the Week for Wiskus in his career and his third Freshman of the Week honor. Wiskus helped the Gophers to a victory over No. 5 Illinois. He took three podium finishes including a dominant win on floor with a career high 14.700. His 14.400 late in the day on p-bars came up big in the Minnesota win.

Wiskus is second in the NCAA in the all-around with an 82.100 average. His 14.267 p-bars average has him ranked No. 3 in the country and his 14.200 is good for a No. 6 ranking in the NCAA. He is also 12th on vault with a 14.400 average and 14th on rings with a 13.833 average.

This week Wiskus is headed to the USA Gymnastics Winter Cup in Las Vegas, Nev. on Feb. 15 and Feb. 17.
