MADISON, Wis. - The No. 7 Golden Gopher women's hockey team dropped game two of the Border Battle by a score of 1-0 on the road at No. 1 Wisconsin in front of a second-straight sold-out crowd at LaBahn Arena Saturday evening.

Minnesota (20-10-3, 13-8-3-2) surrendered the game's lone goal when UW's Maddie Rolfes scored at the 16:09 mark of the first period. The defensive battle ended with the teams combining for just 38 shots on goal as the Badgers had an 22-16 advantage for the game.

The Gophers were 0-for-4 on the power play, including an abbreviated 4-on-3 advantage, while going perfect on the penalty kill at 3-for-3.

All four games between the Gophers and Badgers were one-goal games this season, but Wisconsin (29-3-2, 20-2-2-2 WCHA) earned the sweep to cap the regular season on the road in Madison, Wis., after taking game one, 4-3.

For the series, the Gophers were led by Sydney Baldwin's two-goal effort in game one. Grace Zumwinkle also posted multiple points in game one with one goal and one assist in the Border Battle.
