MINNEAPOLIS - Carlie Wagner scored a season-high 34 points on senior night, but Minnesota saw its four-game win streak and six-game home winning streak both come to an end Tuesday night in an 82-70 loss to Indiana at Williams Arena.

Minnesota drops to 21-7 on the season and 10-5 in the Big Ten, good for fourth place in the league. The Gophers finished the year 13-2 at the Barn. Indiana increased its win streak to eight games and is currently 16-12 on the year and 9-6 in conference play.

Wagner, who was honored pregame along with fellow seniors Jessie Edwards and Bryanna Fernstrom, surpassed her previous season high of 31 set at Georgetown on Dec. 7. Her total was tied for the second most in her career and was four points off her career high of 38 set at Michigan last season. Wagner also set a career high with six steals and matched a personal best with 13 made field goals.

Wagner's 34 points pushed her career total to 2,106 to move ahead of Carol Ann Shudlick (2,097 from 1990-94) for third in Minnesota scoring history.

Junior Kenisha Bell reached double figures with 11 points and added eight assists, seven rebounds and six steals, while freshman Destiny Pitts contributed 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals. Sophomore Taiye Bello, making just her third start of the year, led the team with nine rebounds and finished with seven points.

As a team, the Gophers had 18 steals, their most since recording 19 against North Dakota State on Nov. 20, 2011.

After Minnesota jumped out to a 7-0 lead and Indiana followed with a 6-0 run, the game did not see a lead larger than four points for either team until Indiana pulled ahead 68-63 with 3:52 to play. Trailing by five, the Gophers were able to cut it to 68-66 with 2:27 to play, but the Hoosiers responded with a 9-0 run to pull away late.

The game featured 15 ties and 13 lead changes.

Minnesota closes out the regular season Sunday at Illinois (9-19, 0-14 B1G). Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
