Entering with an undefeated 7-0 record, Gopher wrestling alumnus Logan Storley will enter his Friday fight against Joaquin Buckley on the main card for the first time in his young Bellator career.

Competing in the Bellator 197 event, Storley will be the first bout on the main card, which starts this Friday at 8:00 p.m. CT at Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo. The event will be televised on ParamountNetwork.com. The fight will be fought at 170 pounds.

Joaquin Buckley (8-1) will be Storely's opponent in the octagon. Buckley owns five career knockouts in his nine fights and sits at 5 feet 10 inches tall. Buckley last fought on October 20, 2017 at Bellator 185 where he won a split decision over Vinicius de Jesus.

Storley has secured a knockout in six of his first seven professional fights. The University of Minnesota graduate was a four-time All-American and wrapped up his wrestling career in 2015.

Storley wrestled at Webster (S.D.) High School prior to coming to Minnesota, the same high school as Gopher Wrestling, MMA and WWE legend Brock Lesnar. Storley earned the Junior Hodge Trophy as a six-time state champion at Webster with a career mark of 262-3, making him one of the hottest wrestling prospects in the country when he signed with the Gophers. Storley was immediately inserted into the Minnesota lineup as a true freshman, finishing sixth, fourth, third and fourth at the NCAA tournament during his four seasons in the Maroon and Gold, wrestling all four years at 174 pounds.

Since graduating, Storley has fought with the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) banner, and signed with Bellator back on June 27, 2017.
