Fornasiere Selected to MSHSBCA Hall of Fame

MINNEAPOLIS – Gopher Baseball assistant head coach Rob Fornasiere will be inducted into the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association this October along with six other coaching luminaries from the state of Minnesota.

Fornasiere, who has spent the past 33 seasons on the staff of head coach John Anderson including the last 22 as the assistant head coach, joins the Minnesota skipper in earning this honor despite never coaching at the high school level. He has served as an unofficial ambassador to Minnesota high school baseball throughout his career, from speaking annually at coaching clinics conventions to helping build Gopher teams primarily made up of the top talent the state has to offer while also developing recruited walk-ons into next-level players.

The ceremony will take place Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 7 p.m. in Minneapolis at the Ramada Plaza Hotel. Banquet ticket information will be posted on the MSHSBCA website when available.
