Kellar Highlights Gopher Presence at State Amateur

DELLWOOD, Minn. - Sophomore Grace Kellar carded a 2-under par final round at the MGA Women's Amateur Championship on Wednesday, earning a share of second place at the state tournament hosted by White Bear Yacht Club. Kellar was one of three Minnesota women's golfers taking part in the event.

Kellar (74-73-72—219) was among three players to finish as runners up at the par-74 course, and she helped lead her Olympic Hills Golf Club squad to the team title by a 16-stroke margin.

Finishing just outside the top-10 was Gopher senior Maggie Heggerston, who tied for 12th at 9-over par (76-77-78—231).

Rising freshman Alayna Eldred was close behind, tying for 22nd at 15-over-par (81-77-79—237).
