Five Gophers Named WGCA All-American Scholars

The Women's Golf Coaches Association released its annual list of top academic performers nationally, and the University of Minnesota was well represented with five Gophers selected.
The quintet of Gopher golfers to receive the honor are graduated senior Sabrine Garrison, rising senior Muyu Wu, and rising sophomores Joanne Free, Grace Kellar and Kate Lillie. All met the criteria, among the toughest for any college athletic academic award, by maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.
In total, 1,011 women's college golfers across all levels of NCAA competition were recognized with the award. The full list can be found here.
