A night after recording his first career hat trick, sophomore center Blake Wheeler scored a goal for the ages with a diving shot at 3:25 of overtime to lift the second-ranked University of Minnesota men's hockey team to a 3-2 win over No. 7/6 North Dakota at the 2007 WCHA Final Five.
