Kellar Adds Another Top-10 at State Open

DELLWOOD, Minn. - Sophomore Grace Kellar earned another top-10 finish in state tournament play this week, as she led the way for a trio of Minnesota women's golfers at the Minnesota Women's State Open, hosted by Dellwood Country Club.
Kellar carded rounds of 77 and 73 over the two-day tournament to finish tied for sixth place at 6-over-par 150. She finished one shot out of the top five and six shots behind champion Olivia Herrick, who ended the tournament at even-par at her home course.
Two other Minnesota natives and current Gophers also competed in the tournament. Redshirt sophomore Christine Portillo wrapped up the event in 31st place after finishing at 20-over-par (83-81—164). Incoming freshman Alayna Eldred was two shots back, placing 37th at 22-over-par (83-83—166).
Kellar earned a second-place finish last month at the MGA Women's Amateur Championship with a tournament score of 3-under-par.
