MINNEAPOLIS -- University of Minnesota alumna Jordyn Burns has re-signed with the National Women's Hockey League's Buffalo Beauts for the 2018-19 season, the NWHL announced this week. Burns returns for her third season with the Beauts.
A native of Chanhassen, Minn., Burns was part of the 2017 Isobel Cup champion team from Buffalo. Last season, she helped the Beauts return to the NWHL championship game where they finished as Isobel Cup runners-up. Burns also participated in the 2018 NWHL All-Star Game.
Burns played for the University of Minnesota from 2012-14, recording nine career points (4g-5a) in 62 games. Prior to Minnesota, she spent one season at Syracuse where she registered 10 points (2g-8a) in 35 games in 2011-12.
Burns joins fellow Golden Gopher alum Dani Cameranesi on the Beauts' roster for the upcoming year. The Beauts open the 2018-19 season on the road against the Connecticut Whale on Sunday, Oct. 7.
