Women’s Golf Unveils 2018-19 Schedule

For the second straight year, two home tournaments highlight the Minnesota women's golf team's season schedule which was announced Monday by head coach Michele Redman.
Bringing some of the best teams in college women's golf to the Twin Cities in back-to-back weeks, the season kicks off on Monday, September 10 with the two-day Minnesota Invitational. The tournament, featuring 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, will return to Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury for the second year in a row.
One week later, the best in the nation will join the Gophers at the new Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo for the three-day ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M. With 18 holes each day beginning Monday, Sept. 17, the tournament returns to Minnesota for the second year in a row.
Two more tournaments await the Gophers during the fall season. From October 5-7, Minnesota will take part in the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch Golf Club in Colorado. Just over two weeks later, the fall concludes at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, hosted by Boulder Creek Golf Club just outside Las Vegas.
After the New Year, the Gophers will ramp back up with a dual against Michigan in Naples, Fla., on February 2-3. Two weeks later, Minnesota returns to the Sunshine State for the Moon Golf Invitational from Sunday to Tuesday, Feb. 17-19 at Duran Golf Club in Melbourne.
One week later, the Maroon and Gold will criss-cross the country for The Gold Rush tournament at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, Calif., from Feb. 24-26.
Another trip to California awaits three weeks later, as Minnesota will take part in the Meadow Club Women's Intercollegiate in Fairfax from March 17-19.
The final regular season tournament will take place from April 12-14 at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational, hosted by Ohio State in Columbus. The following week, the Gophers return to Ohio for the Big Ten Championships in Maineville, taking place April 19-21 at TPC River's Bend.
