Two in Top-20 After Second Round of Cardinal Cup

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. - Two Gophers rank among the top-20 through two rounds of play at the Cardinal Cup, as the Minnesota women's golf team stands 11th (301-307—608) after Saturday's play.
Freshman Grace Curran (71-77—148) is tied for 13th at 4-over-par while junior Joanne Free (73-76—149) is one shot behind in a tie for 18th place. Classmate Grace Kellar (78-75—153) is tied for 49th, while sophomore Karen Zhang (79-79—158) is tied for 68th. Junior Kate Lillie (79-82—161) rounds out the Gopher lineup tied for 81st.
Freshman Annabelle Ackroyd (77-75—152) is tied for 38th competing individually.
Kentucky (296-288—584) holds the team lead while Sera Tadokoro (71-69—140) of Kansas and Louisville's Hana Ryskova (71-69—140) are tied atop the individual leaderboard.
The Cardinal Cup concludes Sunday at the University of Louisville Golf Club with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
