Gophers to Host Minnesota Invite

MINNEAPOLIS – Although the Minnesota Swimming & Diving program will not compete in another dual meet until mid-January, the team is partnering with Minnesota Aquatics to host the Minnesota Invite at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center from Dec. 4-7. Tickets for the four-day event are on sale now and can be found by navigating to the links at the top of this page.
One of the premier invitationals in the country this year, the Minnesota Invite is set to include some of the nation's best swimming and diving programs. Arizona, California, Harvard, Iowa, Michigan and Texas will all compete alongside the Gophers over the course of four days in early December.
The action will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. with the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay races. Thereafter, from Dec. 5-7, preliminaries will start promptly at 10 a.m, while diving events are scheduled for 12 p.m. Each day, event finals will take place at 6 p.m.
Competition is scheduled to extend to Sunday, Dec. 8, although this will be a long-course time trial day that is not scored with the Minnesota Invite.
