12/11/2019 11:20:00 AM | Gymnastics
The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) has released their Preseason Poll and have ranked the Gophers at No. 14, tallying 1,196 points.
The Maroon and Gold are one of eight Big Ten Teams to be ranked in the top 36, with only Michigan coming in ahead of them at No. 6. Last season, the Gophers were ranked No. 23 in the WCGA Preseason Poll.
The preseason ranking comes after the Gophers went 18-4 overall and 8-1 in the Big Ten during the 2019 season. Minnesota finished fourth in the Big Ten and took third at the Baton Rouge Regional Finals, closing out their season ranked No. 13 overall.
Minnesota will kick off the new year with an intrasquad meet at Maturi Pavilion on Jan. 4th before traveling to No. 7 Denver on Jan. 12 to officially start the season. The Gophers and Pioneers will face-off at 3 pm CT.
Minnesota is tasked with a tough 2020 schedule, competing against 12 nationally ranked teams, including the defending National Champions, Oklahoma.
The Gophers will be offering two season ticket options: Reserved chairbacks that will sell for $32 ($8/meet) and reserved bench that will sell for $24 ($6/meet). Click here or call 612-624-8080 today for more information.
